Northumberland GolfThere are plenty of golf courses in Northumberland if this is your pasion, including some excellent links courses. Where else would you be able to see four castles on your round? (head to Bamburgh just up the coast from Beach holiday Cottage for that).
Other highlights are Alnmouth´s Foxton Golf course, just down the coast which is England´s second oldest (this course has been welcoming players since 1869), and you might like to try the courses at Seahouse, Dunstanburgh or Warkworth.
Or, head inland a bit, and drive off down the beautiful fairways at Rothbury Golf Club which has stunning views of the Cheviot and Simonside Hills.
